Evergreen Cultural Centre Open During Construction

Even though the crews are very busy building the LaFarge Lake – Douglas Station for the new Evergreen Line transit system in front of the Evergreen Cultural Centre, the Centre is still very much open and putting on an amazing variety of shows and art displays.

As I blogged about earlier, the Leonard Bernstein operetta Candide is going to be at the Evergreen Cultural Centre on Friday August 23rd and Saturday August 24th.

As well as the Studio Theatre, there is a very, very cool art gallery at the Evergreen Cultural Centre (we need an acronym for this place…how about the ECC?).

The current exhibition at the ECC Art Gallery is a display of the works of Michael Abraham: Apologues.

You have got to see these in person to fully appreciate the wild and wonderful images.

So even though there are construction fences and workers crawling all around the front of the ECC, make the effort to get around those fences and support our local arts centre.

You will be very pleasantly surprised at what you see there. I know I was.
