Nachos at Earl’s

Last night after my SFU Senate meeting I had a few minutes to meet with some friends for a quick social visit. We decided to visit the Earl’s restaurant located near Boundary Rd and Lougheed Hwy in Burnaby. I was quite pleasantly surprised by the very tasty snack that I had. And what was that tasty snack that I had? Earl’s style nachos.

Earl’s style nachos are unlike any other nachos I have had. Instead of corn chips or any tortillas they are made on crispy wonton chips. The toppings were also a lovely blend Of tuna, cucumber, avocado, and diced tomato with spicy mango coulis, sliced Serrano peppers and finely crushed macadamia nuts. All yours for $11.50. Or in this case, all mine.

My only complaint, or should I say, criticism of Earl’s is that the menu is too busy.

Pretty minor point to quibble about. Obviously I will have to go in and taste more of their food to have a better informed position but my most recent observation is very positive.

I love my traditional nachos but the Earl’s nachos were delicious. I look forward to going back to try more variety of their food.
