Our Final (Great) Day in San Diego

The twins are sleeping and we are packing our gear in preparation for tomorrow, a day of air travel.

Our journey to San Diego has been a resounding success. We can do it! We can travel with our twin princesses. While her in San Diego we have visited Sea World and the world famous San Diego Zoo. We have hiked around Balboa Park and Del Mar. We have breakfasted at a number of well-known eateries. We have eaten more burritos and fish tacos than we ever thought possible and we even survived a night in our hotel with 1500 other New Year’s Eve party-goers.

The staff here at the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines have been tremendous. Each day we leave our room in the condition that Hunter S Thompson left his in his book, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. And every day we return to find our room in pristine condition with the little extras that we need to make our stay just a little more comfortable there for us. And everybody we see working at this hotel has a smile and a heartfelt hello for us. What an inspiring crew this place has working here.

Anyway, I will write a more complete review of our vacation when I am safely back in Vancouver and in my office.
