After my recent attempt at homemade sausage rolls I mentioned that I wanted to try again with a couple twists. And I did.
As I said in my previous sausage roll post, I wanted to try again with better quality sausages and to make two smaller sausage rolls out of one piece of puff pastry.
I did that. Unfortunately this time, I forgot to do an egg wash on the outside of the puff pastry before putting it in the oven so they didn’t get that golden brown exterior.
Sure they tasted good, but they just didn’t look as pretty as they should have!
Oh well. That just means I need to try again – third time the charm?
