The twins have entered a new phase that is somewhat welcome and somewhat inconvenient. For the last couple of nights Annalie and Story have slept through the night. This is a very welcome phase for them to have moved into. The less convenient part of this phase is that they both now wake up at 5am. I have to get up and get ready for work in the morning. Typically I wake up around 6am. Except now I wake up at 5am. And the girls get up so that I can change their diapers, feed them a bottle and then let them play for awhile. Then about 7:30am, just as I am gearing up to leave for the factory, the twins need a nap. So now between walking the dog, slurping back a cup of coffee and a bowl of cereal, getting clothes on and checking my morning emails, I am trying to get a baby back in bed and asleep. Just a tiny inconvenience I have now that the girls sleep through the night. Overall, the balance is in my favour; sleeping through the night is worth it, even if that night ends at 5am.
