Up until very recently the best burger I had ever eaten was from a little hole in the wall place called Duane’s Ono-Char Burger on the Hawaiian island of Kauai. That is until I tried a burger from an equally unpretentious place – the Between 2 Buns food truck.

And when I say the Between 2 Buns “food truck”, I actually mean the Between 2 Buns food trailer – a trailer that barely fits the three people who work in it.

The set-up is like this; one guy running the grill, one person prepping and adding the toppings to the burgers, and another person taking the orders. Simple.
On their menu it says “no modifications”. And they mean it. You choose the burger you want off their straight forward menu and that is what you get. You want tomatoes on your burger? You are at the wrong food truck. They don’t put tomatoes on their burgers. You don’t want pickles? Feel free to pick them off after they have handed you your burger.

They make their burgers the way they want to. And they do an awesome job.
Just pure, unexplainable goodness.

On my visit to the Between 2 Buns food truck I had a special burger they had added to the menu – a double cheeser (two patties) with cheese, pickles, onions, shredduce (that’s shredded lettuce dontcha know), their sauce, with bacon crumble and jalapeno chips.

Honestly, it was worth the hour and a half I stood in line waiting to get it. Yes, that is correct. I stood in line for an hour and half to get a burger. And you know what? I would gladly do it again!
