Below are three events that Coquitlam residents may benefit from with the second two events being more useful for people with school age children who will be out of school on Friday, June 13th.
First up is the free summer kick-off party at Victoria Community Hall (3435 Victoria Drive) on Thursday, June 12, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. This party is being hosted by the City of Coquitlam and local residents are encouraged to come out to meet their neighbours and find out what programs will be offered this summer at the hall. There will be live music, kids’ activities, demonstrations and more.

And then for Friday, June 13, 2014 the next day of the teachers’ job action, the City of Coquitlam is once again stepping up to help keep School District 43 students busy when they aren’t in school. Register for day camps online at – www.coquitlam.ca/featuredprograms

WHERE: Poirier Community Centre
*NOTE: Drop off at Centennial Pavilion Youth Centre in the morning. Pick up will be at Poirier Community Centre, MacDonald Room. Swimming at Spani Pool is weather dependent. Staff will call all registrants on June 10th to confirm. Please pack a peanut-free snack and lunch. Wear comfortable clothing & running shoes.
