Finally, a fix. I hadn’t had my what is Stacey’s other life fix for days! And, then a plethora of posts for my perusing. Loved the “electrical cord eating contest”. If it shows up in a future novel, please forgive me – I won’t remember where it came from, just that it was undeniably clever and a perfect picture of that stage of babydom.
Last night I was part of a group of 5 mothers and we were telling stories of our kids finally sleeping through the night. And, for the 4 of us for whom it eventually happened, we all got to the “this is the last time….” (some kind of sense of I’m not doing this particular thing again; done) and it was like we psychically communicated this to our children. The next night, 15 to 20 minutes of crying at their fav middle of the night time. Night 2 some snuffly, should-I-cry noises, and done. So, I believe that Annalie will now sleep in her own bed every night. Sometimes, you just know you’ve made a decision – and so do they! 🙂
I just finished a post about families with older kids – and I didn’t think to address sleeping through the night (or sleeping at all some time during the night!)
